Summary of the 2024 edition

GoInterHub (Galician Offshore International Hub) is an event that cements Ferrol’s position as one of the leading forums for knowledge and outreach in the offshore wind sector. It has already established itself as one of the sector’s key international events, bringing representatives from the market’s leading players to Ferrol and attracting more than 400 companies and professionals at each edition.

The main aim of the event is to highlight the enormous growth potential of the offshore wind market, the progress this industry is making in Galicia, and the benefits it can bring in areas such as job creation.

The Galician Offshore International Hub aims to raise awareness of the industry’s development in the coming years and the business opportunities it presents for the Galician metal sector, as well as to promote the offshore industry globally and help create a more innovative—and therefore more competitive—Galicia for the entire sector in the future.

Summary of the 2023 edition

La VII edición del congreso internacional GOinterHUB ha reunido en Ferrol a más de 400 representantes empresariales y organizaciones líderes de la energía eólica marina, para poner en valor las capacidades logísticas y la cooperación empresarial en este ámbito en auge a nivel internacional. Más de 30 ponentes de empresas punteras, instituciones, asociaciones internacionales e inversores han debatido estos días sobre el potencial de la eólica marina a nivel nacional e internacional, destacando la cadena de valor local y las oportunidades de colaboración en esta industria renovable en auge. El evento contó con el patrocinio platino de Iberdrola, Santander e Industrias Ferri.

Summary of the 2021 edition

Once again, the fifth edition of the GOinterHUB international conference brought together business leaders, technical experts and representatives of organisations linked to offshore wind power in Ferrol to highlight the logistical capabilities of north-western Spain and business cooperation. More than 20 speakers from leading companies, institutions, international associations and investors discussed the potential of offshore wind power at an international level and the current challenges for its promotion and implementation.

Summary of the 2019 edition

The IV Galician Offshore International Hub was attended by more than 300 international professionals and Galician, Spanish and European companies. Attendees were able to visit the Navantia facilities and participate in presentations given by various national and international experts. It should be noted that this event highlights the capabilities of Galician industry in general, but especially those of Ferrol and its surrounding area in everything related to offshore wind energy, which is essential for the energy transition. The closing ceremony was attended by the Regional Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry of the Xunta de Galicia, Francisco Conde, who positioned Galicia as ‘an international benchmark in the field of offshore wind energy.’ The ceremony was opened by the Mayor of Ferrol, Ángel Mato, who stated that GoInterhub ‘positions the city of Ferrol as a benchmark for offshore wind energy.’
